Yes, I’ll admit it. I’m addicted to foie gras — torchon that is — and if I see it on a menu, you can be sure I’ll be ordering it.
I find the Foie Gras Torchon ($16) at Leatherby’s Cafe Rouge absolutely irresistible and frankly, I’m okay with it — my addiction that is.
You see, the indulgent side of me just can’t say no and well, how can I when it is so absolutely delicious?
The torchon is served with toasted brioche slices and a medley of berries including freeze-dried strawberries and fresh blueberries among others. A quenelle of berry sorbet is cold, tart and almost shocks your palate after the rich creaminess of the torchon has settled in your mouth.
You need to try it for yourself — if you are a fan of foie gras, that is. If not, then oh well….. more for me!

More for me too! We need to eat as much of it as we possibly can before 2012
