A wild and crazy idea concocted by Michael Munoz of The Gay Gourmet blog, this week marks the launch of National Cookie Week (May 2nd to May 8th). Michael contacted me via Twitter and asked if I would be interested in participating and I jumped at this fabulous idea!
The week kicked off with Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies on Monday and Tuesday saw Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies.
Today is Wednesday! Hump Day! And The Gay Gourmet has featured my Oatmeal Date Cookies — a recipe I have had for over a decade and make from time to time. I love it because it’s healthy — oatmeal — and there isn’t a lot of sugar because the dates are a natural sweetener. Michael made the cookies from my recipe and check out the gorgeous photo of my cookies taken by John Dolan Photography below.
Join this crazy and delicious craze and support my new friend, Michael Munoz and Zach who runs an online cookie baking company called Schmackarys, co-conspirator to the first annual National Cookie Week. BRAVO BOYS!
