December 10, 2011 Mad Hungry Woman 12 Comments

It’s THAT time of year again where you’re wondering what you’ll be doing this New Year’s Eve. Well, look no further! The OC Fair once again will be hosting the 2011 NYE Block Party with dancing, carnival rides, casino fun, fireworks and more

The folks who bring you the OC Fair invite you to their second annual New Year’s Eve Block Party on Saturday, December 31st. This casual, hip extravaganza will feature live tribute bands and DJ entertainment by the decade “from the ’60s to the ’90s” along with the all the gourmet food trucks we’ve grown to love.

Trucks participating this year will include: Taco Maria — one of my current favorites — , Crepes Bonaparte, Brats Berlin, Piaggio On Wheels — my old time favorite, The Greasy Wiener — my all around favorite, Calbi, Rolling Sushi Van, Rancho A Go Go, Sexy Burger, California Grill Truck, Sweet E’s, BaconMania, The Burnt Truck — best sliders ever, Chunk N Chip — sweet treats, The Grilled Cheese Truck, Shortstop BBQ — YUM, mun-chee5, TaNoTa takoyaki, My Tornado Potato, and Garlicscapes.

Tickets are $40/general admission, $36/groups of 10+ or Block Party plus 2012 OC Fair Super Pass for $55. To purchase tickets and/or for get more information, go to ocfair.com!

I’m giving away two tickets to the Block Party here. Just leave me a comment under this post and tell me why you would like to be a part of the New Year’s Eve Block Party and you will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win. This contest will close on Friday, Dec 23th.

I would like to be a part of the New Year’s Eve Block Party is because I believe and would want to be a part of something exciting because of all the bad luck I have gotten this year (was hospitalized for about half a month during September (and the fact that I had to miss school for the first quarter)). So being part of the New Year’s Eve Block Party would be a great turn-a-round for me to end my year on something great and ring in the new year to a better future!! Also, my return to school which I am looking forward to (which is most better than most students since the new year means the end of their winter break, but for me it would the end of this extended vacation and hopefully onward to the road of normality of my daily life as if I had not been in the hospital). This is why I would like to be a part of the New Year’s Eve Block Party.

Being a combat veteran, last new year I celebrated it with rocket attacks into our camp, so this coming new year I would like to celebrate it with cheers.

This would be fun because I love food trucks and I couldn’t stay up last year to ring in the new year.

Pick me pick me!!! I met you at the ChunknChip Cookie Contest, where you were the judge
(remember my Occupied Oatmeal creations?). Before then I hadn’t seen your blog and I love it! (You have a new fan).
My husband and I are out of work and trying to stretch every dime. I’m not gonna spin a hard luck story because though money is tight we are blessed in many ways.We just celebrated our 18 wedding anniversary and a have a amazingly wonderful 15 year old son.
The tickets to the Block Party would be a great way to ring in the new year together since we are crazy about the food trucks, love the OC Fair and we are hungry for a happy 2012!

I’ve moved out to the east coast for school and I miss my family back in California so much. I’m finally visiting for the holiday! Please pick me 🙂

Due to having young kids, I have not been able to go to a NYE party in YEARS, but this will be the first year that my husband and I will get babysitters so that we can actually go OUT and enjoy NYE in style! The OC Fair block party would be the perfect way to celebrate sans kids!

I went to the NYE Block Party at the OC Fairgrounds 2 years ago and it was a lot of fun(even though the weather was only about 38 degrees). It’s by far one of the absolute best NYE party events in So Cal. I would love to go to it this year and I would especially love to win this contest for those 2 tickets!

rather than try and guilt you into it, I would like to go because it sounds like a fun time and I need to eat at some of those food trucks for the first time

We never go out for New Years because our kids have been too young to stay alone. Now they do their thing and we want to do something exciting.
