Memorial Day weekend is the perfect time to take the whole family out for a cold sweet treat. Rollin’ Creamery launched its Rolled Ice Cream Tacos a few weeks ago and they’re quite the experience.
I tried several flavors including Cookies n Cream, Ube, Strawberry and Pineapple, all possessing different elements which will appeal to a wide range of palates.
My favorite is the Pineapple Chamoya flavor which sees rolled pineapple ice cream stuffed into crispy waffle “taco” shells, then drizzled with chamoya and finished with Tajin. I love the acid and hint of saltiness, which balance out the sweetness.

I just tried rolled ice cream last weekend, but rolled ice cream taco! Mind blown!
They’re not all created equal — the ice cream is often not great. The ice cream here is good, and I love the waffle taco — gives it a great textural contrast.
