I recently tried Bada Bean Bada Boom, a line of seasoned broad beans that’s perfect for snacking. I grew up eating broad beans in various preparations, and my grandma loved snacking on crispy broad bean snacks when I was growing up. The only kind of broad bean snacks back then was just seasoned with salt.
Bada Bean Bada Boom is different because these crispy broad beans come in a wide variety of flavors, ranging from savory to sweet. The savory selections include: Garlic & Onion, Mesquite BBQ, Spicy Wasabi, Sea Salt, while the sweet include: Sweet Cinnamon and Cocoa Dusted. There is a Sweet Sriracha which offers up a savory sweet finish.
The company just launched two new flavors exclusively for the online market today: Zesty Ranch, and Sweet Onion & Mustard.
These broad beans pack 7 grams of protein, and 5 grams of fiber in every 100-calorie serving, and the ingredients list is short and simple: broad beans, sunflower oil, rice flour, spices and seasonings. It is gluten-free, vegan, and non-GMO.
Zesty Ranch and Sweet Onion & Mustard (MSRP $3.99 3oz., $1.99 1oz.) are now available on Amazon, or the Bada Bean Bada Boom website.
Stay tuned for more flavors coming soon.
