Mekhala: sustainable, organic and vegan-friendly pastes

December 18, 2021 Mad Hungry Woman Leave a Comment

I cook a lot of Thai food at home, and after trying Mekhala’s line of awesome wholesome and sustainable products, I was hooked. Produced in small batches in the lush countryside of Chiang Mai, Thailand, these cooking pastes and dressings are made with clean  and natural Ingredients that are not only good for you, but also, good for the planet. A women-owned company, co-founders Jang Bauerle and Daphne Hedley created Mekhala for family and clients of Hedley’s retreat in Chiang Mai after failing to find quality, natural products on the market.

I used the Red Curry paste to make a curry, and absolutely loved it. The pastes are organic and vegan-friendly, so it is suitable for everyone.

Mekhala (which means “Goddess” in Thai) has since grown into a Singaporean/Thai whole foods brand that produces organic, all-natural, gluten and nut-free, vegan-friendly foods that make life easier, healthier and tastier for all.

I can’t wait to try the Laksa spices, as I miss that so much from my childhood, growing up in Malaysia. To try these products for yourself, visit their website: https://www.mekhalaliving.com/

About Me

This blog is a journal of mostly my eating adventures, but also, other things I'm passionate about, including travel, the arts, and also, necessities to complete my life. Centered predominantly in and around Orange County, CA, some will extend to Los Angeles, San Diego and beyond. I am constantly searching for delicious food to eat and fun things to do, nothing is out of bounds. Sometimes it doesn't end well, but I can definitely say, it will always be an interesting journey.
