>Think the only place to get soy milk, you tiao and porridge is at 99 Ranch Market or a Taiwanese place specializing in it? Think again. Kang Lac in Westminster is a bakery, but they have some of the yummiest porridge and soy milk around. I usually skip the you tiao since I’ve never found any to live up to the expectations of those I’m used to in Taiwan or Hong Kong, but the salty soy is definitely as tasty as those in Monterey Park. The ingredients they use is slightly different to its Taiwanese counterpart, but who cares, it’s delicious and cheap! They open at 7am so it’s perfect if you like an early breakfast.
