When we lived in Hawaii, we would often drive across from Kaneohe to visit the original Roy’s Restaurant, founded by Roy Yamaguchi in Ko’Olina. These days, you can find Roy’s restaurants eight states with more than 20 locations to choose from.
Roy’s has never opened for lunch before, but recently has launched a new lunch menu currently offered at the Newport Beach, Pasadena, Baltimore and La Jolla locations, Monday through Friday beginning at 11am.
The new menu features classic Roy’s Restaurant signature plates, such as the Wagyu Beef Burger and Maui Wowie Shrimp Salad, while introducing customers to new creations like the Seared Ahi Salad, Hibachi Grilled Salmon and Kalua Pork Sandwich — my personal favorite! They are also offering my favorite Roy’s item of all time, the miso butterfish, on lettuce cups!
Each location will also include an exclusive menu, which features unique, local lunch options specially created and prepared by each chef partner.

Wagyu Beef Burger looks so good! I would love to go to Roys!

Roy’s has been my favorite restaurant for several years. The food and service are consistently excellent. Roy’s knows how to make a special occasion truly special. I always choose to go here for my birthday. The soufflé trumps a birthday cake any day! The butterfish is my favorite entree.
I love Roy’s! I’m so happy they are doing lunch now. This is close enough to my office that I think I’m going to have to add it to my lunch rotation!

I’ve always wanted to try Roy’s! I have never been to this type of restaurant before but just looking at your photos and reading your article, the menu looks intense! There is wagyu here? I personally have never tried wagyu ever but my boyfriend was lucky to have tried wagyu beef before.
It’s our one year anniversary soon, and if I win the gift card, I’d love to be able to take him out to try this place!
