Pineapple Pairings at Islands + giveaway

May 3, 2017 Mad Hungry Woman 12 Comments

It’s pineapple season at Islands Restaurants, and from now until the end of the month – May 31st – you’ll be excited to know the Pineapple Pairing Menu is in full swing with many pineapple-infused dishes and beverages to indulge in.

From the Pineapple Pairing Menu:

Yaki Tacos ($10.69) & Pina Colada ($8.99) these flour tortillas are stuffed with grilled chicken, teriyaki sauce, Cheddar & Jack cheese, fresh pineapple salsa, lettuce and tomatoes with a side of Islands’ signature ranchero beans.

Hoisin Bowl ($10.99) & Mai Tai ($8.99) this generous bowl of brown rice is topped with grilled chicken, chunks of fresh grilled pineapple, red bell peppers, snow peas, water chestnuts, red onions, broccoli, and diced scallions in hoisin sauce.  You can swap the hoisin sauce for teriyaki if you want.

Burger lovers will like Hawaiian Burger ($12.45) & Big Island Iced Tea ($8.99) an Islands’ burger topped with pineapple, teriyaki sauce, lettuce, tomato, onion, Swiss cheese and mayo.

Non-meat eaters can indulge in Toucan Sandwich ($12.19) & Longboard Lager ($8.50) a sandwich stuffed with a juicy grilled chicken breast, teriyaki sauce, fresh pineapple, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo.

For the whole month of May, you can also enjoy $2 off any margaritas while dining in. For an Islands near you, please visit their website here.

This week, I have $20 dining cards from Islands for you to WIN. The cards are only good for food – not valid for alcohol, tax and gratuity. For a chance to WIN, please leave your FULL name, and why you want to try these pineapple specials. Entries close on Sunday, May 14th, 2017.

If I can’t afford Hawaii this summer, maybe at least I can have vacation in my mouth at Islands!

Pineapple is one of the best fruits! Sweet and delicious by itself or with other fruits, but also incredible in savory dishes!

I’d love try Yaki tacos and Toucan sandwich, they look so good! We always get the Kona pie afterwards, yum, my kiddos always look forward to it when we visit the Islands!

Haven’t been to Islands since last year and totally miss like being on the actual islands. So hopefully trying these pineapple creations will help me feel like I’m away at the 808!

I love how pineapple adds a sweetness to a dish. Plus, these will get me ready to dream about summer vacation. Islands is a family fave, so I’m always game for a little taste of the island life.

I’d like to try these items, especially the Hawaiian burger, because I never really thought of putting pineapple on a burger and it sounds really good!
