BOOK: Sweet Spot + giveaway

I’m a HUGE ice cream fan, even though I don’t have much of a sweet tooth. Did you know that the average American will eat 22 lbs of ice cream a year? What’s your favorite flavor? Rocky Road? Wasabi Mint? Or plain old Vanilla? I love unique flavors and this is why, when I came across Amy Ettinger’s book SWEET SPOT: An Ice Cream Binge Across America, I was hooked.

SWEET SPOT is a single-subject book on ice cream and Ettinger takes the matter seriously. In the book she travels from coast to coast seeking out the weirdest flavors, most innovative entrepreneurs, and everything in between. Would you be game enough to try foie gras ice cream? I know I am! I’ve tried garlic ice cream, beet ice cream, but would I be brave enough to try vanilla ice cream with toffee coated mealworms? I think so!

If you’re an ice cream aficionado, then this book will appeal to you, and your obsession with ice cream! I love how Ettinger writes the entire book from her own point of view. The book has in-depth interviews, recipes, fun facts, and shocking history about our favorite delicious treat.
