Are you on a gluten free diet? Or perhaps, you’re diabetic (like I am) and are counting carbs? Either way, there are a ton of gluten-free products on the market, some good, some, not so good.
I recently came across Keto Kookies, a line of delicious cookies made with high-quality ingredients such as grass fed butter, coconut oil, non-GMO almond and coconut flour, and natural sweeteners.
Whether you’re on a Ketogenic diet or not, the cookie is high in fat and low in carbs. Keto Kookies are packaged in pairs and are ready to eat straight out of the package. They can also be put in the microwave for a few seconds to enjoy warm.
The cookies are sugar-free, so like I mentioned before, diabetics can enjoy these, especially kids with Type 1 diabetes, who usually have to miss out. The best part? Keto Kookie was developed by two Orange County residents, Victor Macias and Kristoffer Quiaoit, and the product has been expanding rapidly ever since.
Current flavors include Chocolate Chip, Double Chocolate, Snickerdoodle, and I loved them all, especially the latter. The cookies are soft, slightly crumbly, due to the use of almond flour. They are not overly sweet — a plus for my non-sweet palate — and even though there are two cookies in each packet, I find that one cookie suffices to curb that cookie craving.
New cookie flavors: Birthday Cake and Peanut Butter, are available for presale at the Kickstarter at ketokookie.com/fanfunding
