Haven Gastropub & Proof Bar — Mon 28th fundraising events

March 24, 2011 Mad Hungry Woman 2 Comments

I’ve sat here and watched CNN for weeks now wondering what I can do to help the situation in Japan. With all the things going on in Orange County: people organizing bake sales, businesses doing their bit, I am glad I can do something in a small way, and that is to help promote these […]

Anepalco’s Cafe — a step above the rest

March 22, 2011 Mad Hungry Woman 9 Comments

Several years ago I saw the buzz about this place on Yelp and wanted to visit. However, I wait (like I usually do) until I was sure it was truly deserving of the accolades, before making my way there. I’m a huge supporter of small hole-in-the-wall, mom and pop establishments and Anepalco’s epitomizes this. Hidden […]

Bruxie — wonderful and wacky

I returned again recently, this time with Austin in tow, and we ordered 4 sandwiches between us just to be safe, but more so because it was Austin’s first […]

R+D Kitchen

March 18, 2011 Mad Hungry Woman 3 Comments

So, when I heard Capital Grille was coming to South Coast Plaza, I was pretty sure it would fall into the same category as Morton’s, Fleming’s, Mastro’s and Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. I’ve […]

About Me

This blog is a journal of mostly my eating adventures, but also, other things I'm passionate about, including travel, the arts, and also, necessities to complete my life. Centered predominantly in and around Orange County, CA, some will extend to Los Angeles, San Diego and beyond. I am constantly searching for delicious food to eat and fun things to do, nothing is out of bounds. Sometimes it doesn't end well, but I can definitely say, it will always be an interesting journey.
