Sabatini Hong Kong — an old school favorite

November 27, 2015 Mad Hungry Woman Leave a Comment

The original Sabatini Ristorante Italiano opened in Rome in 1954 and Sabatini in Hong Kong is still overseen by the Sabatini family offering a traditional Roman menu I have loved throughout my time in Hong Kong during the 90s. One of my favorite chefs — Marcus Moore — would produce lavish dinners using the finest […]

Gelato Paradiso + giveaway

October 23, 2015 Mad Hungry Woman 12 Comments

At Gelato Paradiso, the artisanal gelato is hand-made in small batches every morning, right in the shop where you go to eat it. Each flavor is rendered using old world recipes and traditions that have been passed down and improved upon through generations of master artisans. I recently joined a group of bloggers at a “behind-the-scenes” look […]

A Las Vegas reunion ends with an Italian dinner at Fiamma

Settebello has found its place at Crystal Cove

June 5, 2015 Mad Hungry Woman 2 Comments

Crystal Cove is home to many restaurants, and Settebello is one of the newer ones there.  I’ve tried coming here several times ever since it opened almost a year ago. Not being able to taste everything the restaurant has to offer. I am in awe of the space and spend a little time wandering around while I wait […]

About Me

This blog is a journal of mostly my eating adventures, but also, other things I'm passionate about, including travel, the arts, and also, necessities to complete my life. Centered predominantly in and around Orange County, CA, some will extend to Los Angeles, San Diego and beyond. I am constantly searching for delicious food to eat and fun things to do, nothing is out of bounds. Sometimes it doesn't end well, but I can definitely say, it will always be an interesting journey.
