When I received a sample of BANANA WAVE bananamilk on my doorstep, I was both intrigued and skeptical at the same time. This product is created from bananas and is a nutrient-filled new option derived from an ancient African recipe that has been passed down from generation to generation and first introduced to the company’s founder, Neter Alkebulan, by his own grandmother.
BANANA WAVE bananamilk is made using three of nature’s “superfoods” – fruit, grains and seeds. Each serving begins with pure banana puree and as much potassium as a small banana, as well as 29 vitamins and minerals and 1200 mg of Omega-3s. There is plant-based protein, a good source of fiber, and is all natural, dairy-free, gluten-free and certified Non-GMO by Greenleaf Non-GMO.
Besides bananas giving it sweetness, there is added organic cane sugar as well. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste, which, well, tastes like a banana milk shake. It is also perfect for vegans, vegetarians, those managing a dairy or nut allergy or anyone looking for a non-dairy milk.
