>Kimera — happy people for happy hour

January 17, 2009 Mad Hungry Woman Leave a Comment

>Lately my friends and I have been going to happy hour instead of meals. The deals are out there, but it’s a matter of finding where the best food and drinks are. One of my favorite places is Kimera. They offer 50% off the bar menu until 7pm and well drinks are discounted. For someone like me who isn’t into drinking, it makes great sense to eat here. After you apply the 50% discount, you’ll find that you’re getting some delicious fare for not much money at all. The pizzas here are outstanding, as are the parmesan garlic fries. If you’re wanting to go fairly low carb, you can try the crabcakes, seared ahi tuna, tomato and buffalo cheese or the hoisin chicken drummettes with sauce on the side. I find if you go with a bunch of people, it works out pretty cheap in terms of food. Alcohol is another story though, and if you like to get your drink on, it might work out to be a pretty penny even with the happy hour discount. Still, this is one of my favorite places close to home because honestly, all I come here for is the food and to spend time with my friends.

About Me

This blog is a journal of mostly my eating adventures, but also, other things I'm passionate about, including travel, the arts, and also, necessities to complete my life. Centered predominantly in and around Orange County, CA, some will extend to Los Angeles, San Diego and beyond. I am constantly searching for delicious food to eat and fun things to do, nothing is out of bounds. Sometimes it doesn't end well, but I can definitely say, it will always be an interesting journey.
