I’ve been a huge fan of Soho Taco since its inception and since then, have enjoyed the delicious tacos both at events, and also, off their food truck. If you’re looking for solid catering, Soho Taco’s array of tacos are legendary, but did you know that they also have appetizers to pair with your taco selections, that can be either tray-passed, or set up buffet-style?
Here are some of the offerings you can choose from:
Coctel de Camaron (Shrimp Cocktail) -Shrimp poached in caldo miche, served over a layer of jalapeno avocado aioli and tequila cocktail sauce. I love the hit of horseradish in the cocktail sauce!
Tostaditas de Salmon Ahumado – Wild caught sockeye salmon with lemon herb cream cheese and pesto on a mini tostada crisp. What’s not to love?
Rebanadas de Uva – Sweet grapes, roasted chili lime peanuts & goat cheese on a toasted baguette. A simple, but tasty vegetarian item that appeals to all.
Espadilla de Fruta (Fruit Skewers) – Sweet mango and ripe watermelon spears served with traditional salsa de chamoy. A mouth-puckering, appetite whetting bite.
Tostaditas de Ceviche (Red Snapper Ceviche) – Marinated fresh-caught red snapper in a special blend of fruit juices, herbs and spices served on a tostadita. Super tasty, with the right amount of tartness.
Tostaditas de Chorizo (Chorizo and Guacamole) – Grilled Mexican chorizo and fresh guacamole on a savory tortilla crisp. What’s not to like? The coupling of two of my favorite ingredients — chorizo and guacamole!
Espadilla de Filete de Miñon – Marinated and grilled filet mignon with a chile morita glaze. A carnivore’s dream!
Tartare de Filete Miñón – filet mignon tartare served on pumpernickel crowned with quail egg.
Tostadita de Cangrejo – Seasoned lump crab on a house made flour tostada.
Of course, the tacos are to-die-for and there are six to choose from: carne asada, pollo asado, mahi mahi, camarones (shrimp), vegetarian, carnitas.
