New Orleans Day 4 (part one) : Cochon Butcher

February 6, 2015 Mad Hungry Woman 2 Comments

I am skipping to day 4 in New Orleans since my day 3 consists of a travel story which I’m not yet ready to post. I am here an extra day and arrange with several other Chief Chowzters to visit Cochon Butcher first thing in the morning. When we arrive, some others are already there, including Chowzter […]

Yesterday, another show makes its debut at Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Dirty Dancing‘s opening night sees a new menu created by Chef Ross Pangilinan for the show and we always make it a point to eat here before attending a performance. We are here for three-course theater prix fixe menu ($45/pp) but first, an amuse […]

Right now, I am focusing on the meal we are all gathered here for, the Chowzter North American Fast Feasts Awards ceremony. More than two decades ago, as a food writer […]

It is a full day of traveling as I leave Orange County at 9am and after a stop in Houston, I arrive in New Orleans a little past 4pm. It is my first time in NOLA and I am utterly excited about the next three days. After arriving at the hotel, I swiftly unpack, shower […]

I had heard about Amor Y Tacos from Gayot food writer, Rich Manning and since then have heard from various others about how incredible the food is. So, when I mention this […]

About Me

This blog is a journal of mostly my eating adventures, but also, other things I'm passionate about, including travel, the arts, and also, necessities to complete my life. Centered predominantly in and around Orange County, CA, some will extend to Los Angeles, San Diego and beyond. I am constantly searching for delicious food to eat and fun things to do, nothing is out of bounds. Sometimes it doesn't end well, but I can definitely say, it will always be an interesting journey.
